Artist’s Statement
This design is a testament to traditional mandala artistry, with its symmetrical layout evoking a meditative focal point. Each segment is adorned with stylised floral motifs and teardrop-shaped elements. The use of bold black as a backdrop enhances the vividness of the palette. Scattered throughout are small, reflective mirrors that catch the light, adding a dynamic, almost magical shimmer that invites closer inspection.
This captivating mandala is a mesmerizing explosion of color and intricacy, drawing the viewer into a kaleidoscope of vibrant hues and meticulous craftsmanship—a true celebration of color.
At its heart lies a radiant core: a sun-like burst of deep oranges and fiery reds that pulses with energy. This gradually unfolds into concentric rings of intricate patterns. The layers weave together a symphony of rich colors, each shade blending seamlessly into the next.
The dot work—tiny, meticulously placed beads of color—creates a textured, almost three-dimensional effect, suggesting hours of patient, devoted labor.
