ARTIST’S STATEMENT
This work is inspired by the classical song The Swam (Piano & cello), which struck me while alone in the studio after a long day. Reminding me of time on my grandmother’s farm. A place where I enjoyed being alone to reflect on the day. The place where I could hear the music playing in the village, while the song never interfered with my time of silence. The sound would be loud because the farm is very silent. Birds sing a beautiful song that is somehow in harmony with nature, and it would always send me into deep thinking, which I hope one could experience by looking at this artwork.
