The Sasol New Signatures Visual Arts Competition, South Africa’s longest-running and most prestigious visual art competition, is calling on artists from across the country to submit their work for the 2025 edition. - Inclusivity: The competition is open to all South African artists aged 18 and older – with no upper age limit – making it one of the most accessible art competitions in the country.
- Diverse Artistic Expression: Artists are invited to submit up totwo original artworksacross a wide range of media, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, video, and installations, reflecting the dynamic and evolving nature of contemporary art.

- Exceptional Exposure: Finalists’ works are exhibited at the Pretoria Art Museum, featured in a professionally produced printed and digital catalogue, and showcased across Sasol New Signatures’ social media platforms, amplifying artists’ reach and public engagement.
- Prize Money:
- Winner: R100,000 cash prize and an opportunity to host a solo exhibition at the Pretoria Art Museum in 2026.
- Runner-up: R25,000
- Five Merit Award Winners: R10,000 each
- Marketing & PR: Winners benefit from extensive national media coverageand a robust PR and marketing campaign.

Artwork Submission Dates:
- Tuesday, 10 June & Wednesday, 11 June 2025
- Between 10:00 and 16:00
- Artworks must be delivered in person to one of eight official collection points
