Artist’s Statement
My digital print series explores the theme of “home elsewhere” through the lens of bio-art, using the body as a metaphor for family, memory, and belonging. Rendered in Papaya Orange, Green Tea Green, and Cloud Dancer, the works reflect on the ways religion, illness, and inherited struggles shape our understanding of home. In this artwork, it features the heart, brain, lungs, and eye, representing the illnesses that have affected my family and the emotional weight they carry. I create artworks to explore and raise awareness around the vulnerability, hereditary conditions, and the constant search for an identity within spaces that feel both familiar and strange.
